Now you can search the most exciting and informative website in the world by simply typing in one or more key words below!  Look for different ruins, cop stories, see how many times I've used a particular bad word or anything you like - it's easy and fun for the whole family!! 

Okay, so the search thing typically just takes you to the top of an "Updates" page.  But when you get there you can hold down the "Ctrl" and "F" key at the same time to search that page.

If you have lots of spare time and want to get really detailed there's an explanation of the query language, along with examples.

Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

information retrieval

finds documents containing 'information' or 'retrieval'

information or retrieval

same as above

information and retrieval

finds documents containing both 'information' and 'retrieval'

information not retrieval

finds documents containing 'information' but not 'retrieval'

(information not retrieval) and WAIS

finds documents containing 'WAIS', plus 'information' but not 'retrieval'

web*

finds documents containing words starting with 'web'
